The last two months we have done two rituals in DSM style and it was a beautiful reminder of the flow of our tradition. Ostara ritual was a DSM ritual that was written in 2009 and it was modified and redone this year. We had a packed house and lots of fun. In addition, our new moon ritual was insightful and powerful.

There is something about the flow of a tradition that helps to create a balance and it is so necessary to help create a common experience among those in ritual or the tradition. I remember why DSM was a part of creating that for me and why it was important for DSM to be created.

It will be interesting to see what the universe has in store.

Decisions and contemplating

2011 has been a challenging year for many of us and 2011 is a year of recovery in many ways. Although the challenges are not over, it is a bit of a relief that the intensity of 2010 has passed for now.

With all the changes and challenges, many things have been difficult with DSM as well. With the loss of one of our founding members, momentum has suffered and restructuring is the main key in attempting to move forward. No decisions have been made as of yet and I am curious to know what the universe has in store for the tradition or if it is time to release it all.

I have given it another year to see what happens and see if the universe makes it’s plans known in the direction that DSM should be taking.

Stay tuned and if you are interested in becoming a part of this beautiful tradition, and maybe becoming a part of restructuring it, now is the time.

Out with the old and in with the new

New things are happening with DSM and it is exciting. As 2010 progresses, it is clear that the unexpected should be expected and that comfort is not the key. DSM has an opportunity to find it’s balance in the hectic developments of a new year and redefine it’s goals and thoughts. This is a challenging process but one that is filled with some excitement and potential fun.

As new life comes into the tradition, thoughts of excitement illuminate.

New information is in the process of being developed and will be available soon to share. Here is to finding passion and holding onto it.

Moving forward

As multiple tragedies have struck within DSM, I am hopeful that the message of the tradition will move forward and continue in the love from which it was created. As loss is a prominent part of everyone’s life, it can be a beginning instead of an ending.

2009 has been a year of development, heartache and changes for many people. Dance of the SpiritMoon is no different. While we have suffered loss, we have also experienced wonderful gain.

It is with pleasure that Dance of the SpiritMoon tradition would like to announce and congratulate Obsidian SylvanMoon to the 3rd Degree High Priestess position within the tradition. We are very proud of your accomplishments and grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of your journey. We look forward to seeing you flourish as a High Priestess and give your gift to the world.

More updates are forthcoming and DSM is preparing for some new adventures in 2010, including a potential writing project full of transitional rituals DSM style!! Stay tuned for more updates and news.
